Lovely place and Yummy Food in Pagudpud

So Den and I have been planning to visit Sea's Kitchen for months and finally last holy week we were both available and could finally make it!

So before we went, we had to make a reservation and order our food so that it would be prepared before we arrive.

We had to take the bus going to Pagudpud then stopped at Brgy. Lanao (Den's home location) to go and get their motorcycle so we would go there with it (for it would be more cheap for us such that we won't be hiring expensive tricycles and we can go at the Saud Beach afterwards).

Sea's Kitchen is located near Apo Idon, Evangeline and all that resorts found in Saud Beach. It is easy to follow so yeah.

Laoag - Pagudpud bus: Php70.00
Pagudpud Center - Sea's Kitchen - Php 50.00-60.00

In less than 10 minutes. Lunch was served!
Didn't have a proper breakfast to ready my stomach for this!

Fuelling up our hungry stomachs with:
Spicy Tuna w/ Nori Chips
Watermelon w/ Cucumber Relish
Citrus Braised Crispy Pork Belly

Their menu is still affordable so better go now before prices goes up!

My favorite date <3

Sea's Kitchen is a farm/ocean to table kind of restaurant. They only take reservations or preorders in advance so better inform them first.
You can contact them through Facebook, Instagram, etc.

Their menu is posted in their facebook page!

Aside from their delicious food, the place is also very instragram worthy pictures.
So let's do this!

Perfect place for a lovely escape and for relaxing.

Photo credits to kuya for accepting our favor for this shoot.

Very country side look.

Dreaming of making something like this too.

Pagali: Beach pool + Rock formation

The Ilocano Adventureres decided to schedule an adventure during the Holy Week since some adventure lovers working in Manila could join us.

Our destination for the month of April was in Burgos, Ilocos Norte.

----------------------------------------------

I have been in Brgy. Pagali in Burgos already since it is where my brother-in-law lives. When I was still a kid, he brought me and my sister here. I still recall it being deep, clear water and fishes swimming.

Pagali rock formation is also aired in TV Patrol Ilocos by Denis Agcaoili, but it seems that this place still keeps undiscovered by Ilocanos. But residents from Burgos do come here.

Laoag to Brgy. Pagali takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour travel. The barangay is found near Kapurpurawan. The Rock Formation is around 10 minutes drive from the national highway. There is still no marks along the way so just ask the residents or just follow your insticts.

Aside from Kapurpurawan, I can say that Burgos also has "Kangisngisitan".
Puraw: White
Ngisit: Black

If you go there, wear the most comfortable shoes or sandals for the rock are sharp and you get can scratches easily.

It also has a unique view of the windmills found in Ilocos.

The are is also filled with salt crystal growths.

And viola! Here is the beach pool i am talking about. So clear and you can even see fishes and corals underwater.

Here are some pictures:

This place also has Gamet, an Ilocano seaweed delicacy from the town itself.

And also an awesome places for picture taking.
Flaunt your summer body!

Special thanks to my TIA family for this memorable moments!

Pekkan Falls

Looking for a waterfalls with a very refreshing water where you can take a dip?
An easy hike with a perfect view?

Try Pekkan falls which is found in Vintar, Ilocos Norte

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------
 How to go there?

From our Weekend Camp at Mt. Pakkig Farm in Piddig, we had Pekkan Falls as one of our activities.
So from Piddig, we hired a tricycle.

There is a way that connects the two municipalities and it looks like this.

From Piddig center, it may take you 20-30 minutes of travel.
And probably the fare will cost you Php 300.00-400.00/tricycle depending on how many are you.
You may contact Mg Noli Fernandez (+639303079505) of Piddig for he owns a tricycle and knows the way to get there.
Just contact him before you plan to go there.

There is no entrace fee but please always remember our mantra:

"LEAVE NOTHING BUT FOOTPRINTS, TAKE NOTHING BUT PICTURES, KILL NOTHING BUT TIME"

This is the starting point which will lead you to Pekkan Falls.
It takes around 30 minutes of hike.
Level of difficulty is 2/10

Let the hiking begins!
First part of the hike will look like this.

It is easy to follow for the path is really visibile.
All you have to do is follow the irrigation.

It is more on rocky paths rather than ups and downs.

Along the way, you will  encounter small waterfalls where you can also take a dip.
 .
 .
After 30 minutes of hiking you'll be amazed with this view

So it's time to grab you camera and take some pictures!
Here's the other side of the waterfalls.

If you would like to take the risk to go to the second base of the waterfalls, you'll encounter this view.
It is a better place for swimming but the way up here is very dangerous.
There is no proper path and it is slippery.

So that is our amazing experience in Pekkan Falls. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did.

Remember, "Don't leave any trace".
