#TheIlocanoAdventurers goes to Karingking, Solsona

Trekking Karingking of Solsona has been in my to visit list since last year but never had the chance to go until last month.

Karingking has various falls that you can visit and we opted to visit the Falls number 2 and the Blue Lagoon.

All the way from Laoag, we had to travel less than an hour with a private car to get there.

* If you are travelling with public transportation you can catch the Laoag- Solsona Jeep , found in the west past of the Ilocos Norte Capitol in Laoag. Fare is around 40 pesos, I'm not sure.
The jeep will drop you in the center of Solsona that means you have to rent a tricycle that will bring you until there. I don't know how much would it cost. But, if you get one, be sure to talk with the driver and tell him to fetch you after your trek because public transportation is very hard there.

When we got there, we had to pay 20 pesos each for the entrace fee. And while waiting for our guide we took some photos before we started.

Before the trail, you have to tell your guide which falls or sites you want to visit so he can prepare what to bring.

Manong is incharge of bringing the life vests.
Remember to bring extra food for manong.

Our journey to Falls no. 2 is average of difficulty.
It is less than 45 minutes of trek or faster depends on the rythm of the group.
And don't forget to bring a lot of water

Cause you will climb this high.

As you get here, rest, take some pictures and enjoy the site.

*For those who have medical complications check for your doctors' advice before doing this to avoid any incidents.

Falls no.2

All those sweats will be worth it. Jump in the cold water of the falls and take pictures!

To get in the next level you'll have to do this.
The ropes are provided by your guide as well.
It's slippery so watch out.

2nd level of Falls no.2

After lunch, we decided to visit the Blue Lagoon for we ended our first trek early.
We had to do another 30 minutes of trek to get there.
The path is really difficult and dangerous so be extra careful.

Sites along the way are so in for instagram pictures

Swim, dive, enjoy!

We were very lucky that it didn't rain that day.

The trail back to the drop point is another 30 minutes.

Something tropical

Living in a country where there are 7,107 islands makes one a wanderer of it's own beauty.

#TheIlocanoAdventurers goes to Salomague Island

Salomague Island is found in Sabang, Cabugao, Ilocos Norte.
It is the second destination of The Ilocano Adventurers.

From the national highway to Sabang, it takes about 10-15 minutes to get in the beach.

Sabang is a barangay in Cabugao, a place where they also offer surfing classes.

1hr surfing class = Php 500.00.
They also offcer all day surfing class but you'd have to talk with your instructor.
If you just wanna stay in the beach of sabang, they have an entrace fee = Php 10.00.
There's also a barkada type of room for rent in front of the beach.

Sabang beach

We had to take a boat that will take us to the island. We rented a boat for Php 600.00. It includes roundtrip and to go around the island.

Travel time is around 5-10 minutes from the shore to the island.

Waves were quite calm

(The boat can accomodate 8-10 persons)
